School Days part 1
i was feeling very nostalgic on Friday, laying on my bed and thinking about all the times i had back in Barker. Sigh, those were the days. Plenty of memories came back and i felt like writing some of them down here:We were in the science lab in the lower levels and we were all sec4. It was chemistry prac and we were all just fooling around. All our tables had multiple taps and they had hoses on them. So Ish went to connect one hose to another tap. That meant 2 taps had one hose and he astened it tight. Then he turned on both the taps simultaneously. And then pop! The water exploded inside and a whole spray of it hit the ceiling! It was darn funnny! And then the water came down upon Ish and his lab partner hahahhah! They were both drenched la! Stupid! hahhaha and while all of us were laughing, donkey( school dm who is a bio teacher) walked in! HAHAHAHHA! KANNA SENT FOR DC!
Bryan Cheong! The highlight of sec4! We were playing street soccer with another class at the street soccer court and the court is next to the tennis court. So all its walls had tennis court fencing and at the back of the court, there was a low wall and after that was a little trench like area, probably a fire escape or what la. Anyway, we played hard and then the ball flew over the wall and dropped inside the hole. No problem, some guy just leapt over the wall into the hole, retrieved the ball and clambered back out. Second time dis happened, Bryan Cheong went to get it. He tired to climb over the wall but he lost his balance on the parapet and fell into the hole. It was damn LOUD la the crash. I was at the other end of the court and i heard it la! Andre said the floor vibrated! Then when we were all wondering what happened, ka-boom, it started to rain hahhahahahah! And my my, it rained hard! We laughed like shit all the way back to class hahhahha!
Again Bryan Cheong. We were lingering around outside the chem labs for our pracs and nearby were stone benches. Now the structure of our classrooms was that of a double square, one inside the other. The other square the main classrooms and the inner square was the learning lab(aka mini lecture area with CPUs and stuff) Directly below on the ground floor were stone benches and plants and our friend was playing with his spanking new fancy smancsy chess set on a stone bench. While he was playing, someone from level 5 of the learning lab, spit and it feel down and landed on his chess set!! hahahhahaaa! And my word, he was furious! HE stood up and started shouting at the guy. Then the guy spit again and it landed on his chess set again! hahahaha! all of us were laughing like shit! Then he was damn pissed, started shouting about i win the chess tournament then you know r! and started cow-pehing to his friend hahahha! Nobody cared! we were too busy laughing!
P.E was always a very fun affair during sec4. Mrs Tan: Ok boys warm-up. Go run around the courts 3 times. Our p.e sessions were held in the school indoor basketball courts(3 of them combined on one arena with air-con). We would run around the courts for warmup but we always cut across when she wasn't looking or cheat a lap haha. Our warm-ups were always damn fast haha! Then, take basketball or soccer ball and play! we could even extend our playing time by letting it eat into our recess! That was so cool! those were the days!
geography class was taught by Bulldog(he looks like one) in the learning lab. The lab's exterior resembled a fish tank; the walls were all glass! And the toilet faced one of the walls. Many a time, we saw tissues stuck to the glass walls presumably thrown frm the toilet for target practice. I also remb everyone koping all the com stickers just to paste around. In the learning lab, there were tables with computers below so we each virtually had a com. Now and then, someone would try to on the com for some amusement haha. Anyway, bulldog had a trademark. His drss attire. He always wore a collar shirt. no tie and super baggy grey pants that look like a skirt when he put his legs together. Plus on one of his white shirts, there were yellow blotches the size of egg yolks under the armpit region. Who knows how they became yellow. We all just sat there snickering to ourselves. He has YELLOW ARMPITS!!! hahahahahah! We noticed this one day and it was damn disgusting! ALL of us were in shock hahahha! Yellow armpits...eeww...then anthony had a bright idea. Bulldog was talking about some rubbish and pointing to the projector screen and all the while exposing his 'infamous' yellow armpits.
Anthony: er sir, what is that over there(points)
Bulldog: har, that one? (points to a high spot on the screen), blah blah blah
Anthony: No, the one even higher(points even higher)
Bulldog: oh, blah blah blah(points to even higher spot)
Anthony:(whips out the cameraphone and click* yellow armpit)
We usually had mcq tests for geog and when bulldog went through the answers, he would ask us for the answer. Now when naming letters, sometimes there is a mispronounciation. B can sound like D. So bulldog decided to give acronyms to the letters. e.g C for cat. and when ever it was D, we all would always shout B FOR BULLDOG!
SS was taught by Mrs Cecilia Tan. She looks hong-kee i think. Chinese but got some accent. utterly boring. Lets say even our classrep and his gang were sleeping in front of her la while she is talking. The rest of us were stoning..until one day..someone looked out of the window and saw a chiobu in the hostel. Wah, suddenly everyone woke up and there was a mad rush to the window to catch sight of the chiobu changing hahahha!!
