Ian's Birthday Dinner at Sizzler
man, sizzler rocks. The food is totally delicious, but now, its getting damn ex lar!okok, now to the JUICY DETAILS HAHA...
we went to Sizzler at Suntec to celebrate ian's birthday. And it was quite crowded, actually had to wait for a table of 8 . Anyway, the salad was fantastic. The soups (clam chowder, cream of mushroom and cream of something were hot and thick). Bread crumbs and biscuits lined the sides to add further balance to the soups. Next to it was the tacos! TACOS!! Real TACOS! With salsa and all the other Mexican sauces. Next to dat was the spaghetti(with the rich tomato sauce with beef chunks). There was also a pot of cajun potato skins, fried to a deep golden-brown and they looked simply wonderful. You could just admire the food all day. Ice-cream was beside that with toppings of nuts, rainbow sprinkles and chocolate chips. The main bar was filled with vegs. Romaine lettuce, common lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh fruit, potatoes and a whole lot of other healthy stuff were on display. But u know what, their portions are getting smaller! i ordered the swiss grilled chicken with bacon with cheese. I was expecting two pieces of those chicken and a plate of fries. Guess what, there was only a handful of spuds(miniature potatoes) and one lousy piece of chicken! ONE LOUSY PIECE! What the!!
Anyway, this is what happened at the dinner:
joleen is the one of the craziest girl i've ever met.we were at sizzlers and she ordered this medium rare steak.hmm..ok..dat is quite bloody..medium rare. Her steak came with a loaded baled potato with butter. She took her spoon, scooped a big scoop and put it into her mouth and almost immediately she spitted it out. "I THOUGHT IT WAS ICE-CREAM!" LOL!!!!!! then she started eating the steak. The bloody steak. She ate a bit, and her expression changed to one of disgust. So bloody! yuck!! all of us were laughing! You ordered the steak what! We told her to ask the waiter to cook it longer but she dun want, paiseh. er, ok..nothing to be paiseh about but ok..so guess what. The 'a la yen can cook' decided to cook the steak herself! Like how, ok firstly, its a steak! A piece of thick meat from some part of a cow. 2nd, there is no stove in Sizzlers, unless u want to go to their kitchen and cook the steak yourself..which is quite impossible cos they won't let you. So she decided to use SOUP to cook her steak. SOUP!! She went to get a bowl of soup and diped a bit of her bloody steak into the soup. Now, the soup is not hot, its just warm..like duh! When she took the piece out and ate it, she smiled with satisfactio. nice..! !!!!!! er, whats the diff?! the meat is perhaps a little warmer and perhaps a little blood has been mized with the soup. But the steak is still not cooked! After a while, she decided that it was not enough and finaly came to her senses. She asked a waiter if they could cook the steak to medium well.
