Fly
favouritestest song at the moment. Puts you in the Action-man mood. I dun really care about the lyrics though, but the music is great. And so is hilary duff.
In a moment, everything can change
Feel the wind on your shoulder
For a minute, all the world can wait
Let go of your yesterday
Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longingAnd take control?
[Chorus] Fly Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life
And start to try Cause it's your time Time to fly
All your worries, leave them somewhere else
Find a dream you can follow
Reach for something, when there's nothing left
And the world's feeling hollow
Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longingAnd take control?
[Chorus] Fly Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life
And start to try Cause it's your time Time to fly
1. Boarding a Ch-47 Chinook.
2.Flying to an undisclosed location.
3.Riding on board an armoured V2
4.Defending Singaporean Skies.
Wah. Emo-SONG MAN! Makes you want to conquer the World! This is gonna be No.1 On Maple Flag's playlist!
I can just see the movie that I'm gonna make.
Opening: Aircrew waving out squadrons of f-16s from their respective hangars. They slowly taxi to the runaway, armaments all fully loaded. AH-64 Apaches kick start their engines, turbines and rotors whining into the night. The Navy is at sea with their elite team of divers out in operation. Elsewhere, ADA crew board a Chinook. Other ADA crew move out in a fully loaded armoured V2. C3 chain set up data links with available satellites, communicating information to the tide of men below. Elsewhere, the infantry guards board a Super Puma, combat loaded. The armoured brigands of M113s, Bionix Fighting Vehicles and Leopard tanks move out of their hangars and form up in packs. Meanwhile, the infantry columns form up for advance Specialist snipers take up position, hidden among the overgrowth. A C-130 unload a platoon of commandos who parachute down.
Chorus. Fighters are airborne, flying in tactical formation. The guards heli-rapple into the jungle where the Armour is moving swiftly. ADA crews have established base with satellite link ups which ensure that their weapon systems have total air superiority.
Together in a display of Singapore firepower, the aircraft and apaches begin unloading their combat loads on foreign targets. The infantry and armour form up and advance in a tide of deadly green and black. Combat engineer tractors pave their way, breaking up obstacles. The Primus, cream of the Artillery, move in behind, cannons punching holes ahead for the Armour to exploit. Step by step, kilometer by kilometer, the infantry divisions span out. Officers and specialists at their forefront, senior specialists at their rear.
WAH, so cooool sia. Ok, enough talking cock. If u really believe this is what we do, don't. Signing on just isn't worth it.

Kopi-O
i tell you, if its one thing i like while camping on the weekend, its the chance to catch up on old tv serials. Now i bet all of you are still snoozing at 7am on a Saturday morning. On the air at this time is an old show by the name of 'Kopi-O'. Now, its basically about people aruging in a coffee shop drinking, yes i bet you've guess it by now, kopi-o. Thats basically it. The simplicity of the concept is endeared itself greatly to me haha. I don't know why. I don't even fancy Kopi-O.
Well, when if you're really bored on an early Saturday morning, catch Kopi-O! As well as pokemon!!! POKEMON ROCKS!! PISTACHUS, I CHEWES YOO!
Garden Man
He did it again! I can't believe it! He did it again! Refer to the post about 'The Pair of Shears and A Yellow Hibiscus'.
This time, he only managed to kope 1 yellow hibiscus. Apparently he thought the police was on to him. Now i know our P-force is el vigilante. But i'm damn sure they must be sleeping at 5.45am on a Saturday morning!
Munchkin
Yes, i know. This game is freaking old. There are is probably a Munchkin 3 by now. Yet, i have to admit i was damn excited when i started plaing the game.
I was introduced to this game in camp; where bored young men wile away the long hours doing irrational things like running around half naked in the block and scaring other young half naked men. Not that i'm mad enough to do stupid things like that. I prefer the full monty.
Ok, enough rubbish haha. This game is basically about killing monsters to gain treasure cards that will aid you as well as sabo-eing other players who strive to complete the game by reaching level 9. When you kill a monster, you gain 1 level and all the noobs start as level 1. Along the way, you amass treasure cards and monster cards that will aid you in your struggle to victory. Or you can just be a sadistic bugger who accumulates cards that cause much destruction and chaos to others; by making them LEVEL DOWN INSTEAD, or force them to lose precious equipment from their character.
I tell you, when a whole group plays and all sabo you. GG. " )
A Guide To Life
go to videojug.com. The site is amazing! I accidentally stumbled upon it on one of my many forays. This site is basically a guide to living life well and it is demonstrated through video!
Theres neat stuff like male grooming, dance techniques, how to saute your potatoes, and how to fold your clothes in 2 seconds. I admit, i was damn excited about the last one. I went to grab a T-shirt off the rack. It took me a while to get it right and now, i must say i have added any skill to my 'less-than outstanding repertoire' haha!
You should try it too!!
AHHHHH!!
AHHHHHH!!! Duty month is officially OVER! I can finally go home!! No more long hours in camp stoning under the bright lights of the TV! No more system checks at rubbish timings and no more insanely disgusting COOKHOUSE FOOD on the freaking weekends!! WOOOOOOOO!!! Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.
Maple Flag beckons! Count Down. 3 weeks more!
Soup. And Garlic Bread.
Recently, we had a family dinenr at Jack's Place. This was a celebration for my upcoming trip to Canada via Exercise Maple Flag as well as my recent acquisition of being a marksman.( means got extra $200 that is only a one time offer). Now due to consistent proding, cajoling and a bit of threatening, this was gonna be my treat. Thanks mom. She was apparently overjoyed that i submitted to her nagging and she went to tell all my immediate relatives about it. Hence, 8 of us were sitted in the cool parlour of Jack's Place.
The usual appetiser of crisp garlic bread and mushroom soup was rather mundane. I guess its one of their specialities. When one thinks of Jack's Place, garlic bread and canned soup comes to mind. Anyway, I had a Cajun spiced steak. I must admit there was nothing special about that piece of cow. And the cajun seemed pathetic. A few scraps of Salsa on top of the beef and its called Cajun. Interesting. Well, its Jack's Place after all, the home of garlic bread and soup. However, i was immensely impressed with the baked potato. Now, it wasn't exactly high-quality, grown from the finest potato plantations in all of Pakistan. It was an ordinary Russett from Cold Storage. Well, i at least hope it was from Cold Storage. Anyway, there was no butter. Yet, the generous dollop of sour cream and bacon bits from the enthusiastic waiter who seemed to eager to shove his platter up my epicurean nose was the killer blow. The sour cream was amazing. Added with the slightly salty and very crunchy bacon, it was a to-die-for combination. Now this is definitely better than soup and garlic bread.
Oh by the way, I went to pay for the meal and my Mom was genuinely shocked to discover my marksman bonus was only a one time bonus and it wasn't an extra $200 every month. They're good Ma, just not that good. And the meal cost $183. Time to make use of my remaining $7 to buy more soup. And garlic bread.
Blitz!
My life ahs been extremely busy. And boring. And busy. And boring. Well, you get the drift. With so many air force exercises, i hardly have time to come home :( Yet when i do get a chance, i realise my stay in the camp is far more enjoyable. I guess you sort of lose touch with society after so long.
My recent acquisition of an ipod classic has been an immense stroke of brilliance. I can now entertain myself with movies that i have acquired. From a certain pirate. I must say i'm now the proud owner of some plenty movies that would definitely keep me occupoed during the long sad hours in camp. :)
A Pair of Shears and A Yellow Hibiscus
I had to go back to camp for ops duty on one of those insanely mundane Sunday mornings. My dad kindly offered to send me back. Check that. He even offered to buy a McDonald's breakfast for me. Thumbs up there. Anyway, we were driving down a road nears Portsdown at 6.15am in the morning. Yes omg, tis damn early. There was hardly a glimpse of traffic on the long meandering road. Now, Singapore is not called a garden city for nothing. The road was literally lined with beautiful bushes of yellow hibiscus. I meant hibiscuseseseses cos there was plenty of them. Their iridescent glow paled against the harsh night light and their individual lecherous glare found their way into my Dad's wandering eye. I was rather tired and didn't really think much of them. Well, when was the last time that you looked out and marvelled, 'Wow thats a nice pair of bouganvillas'.
I suddenly realised we were slowing down. Hmm...its the open road. There is nobody as far as my half asleep eyes could see. We stopped. On the middle of the road. Just like that.
I had a nagging suspicion something was wrong. Then, the window starts winding downnn and lo and behold, my Dad magicked a pair of GARDEN SHEARS out of his ass and leaned out of the car. Ok, it wasn't exactly out of his ass, probably from some other orifice. And then, Snip snip snip and here comes 1,2,3 freshly cut yellow hibiscuseses! (3 of them so theres the extra es). Unbelievable. The stuff my parents do to beautify their already beautiful garden.
Thus it gives me a fantastic idea. Now i know where florists get their flowers from. Next Valentine's Day, be prepared ladies for a slice of grass from somewhere around Mandai. And who said anything about stealing!
A Walk To Remember
I've decided. I'm gonna blog more often. It defintitely is therapeutic cos ranting at my mirror just doesn't cut it anymore. Also, it definitely provides me with something to look back on when i'm old and wrinkly(eeeww...i can't imagine myself having wrinkles! yeeeesh!)
So fellow followers of this faithful fellowship, be prepared for mroe exciting and perfectly original updates from yours truly.

Black Beauty
I want to get an epiphone black beauty. I kind of like the Les-Paul design. [Sadly, i'm rather noob when it comes to uploading pictures on blogger; thus i can only give u so much when describing it to you] The Sun-Burst cherry-gold colourhas always been very eye-catching but its quintessentiallity(is there such a word) has influenced me not buy it. Hence the choice of the Black Beauty. However, i would prefer a silver metallic kind of pickguard as opposed to the black one that is usually provided. It creates that little touch of classiness to it and is definitely very appealing to the eye.
Sigh.
I was lost and alone
Trying to grow
Making my way down that long winding road
Chow
He is the best when it comes to comedies. Really. The God-like but not a God king of comedies has a knack of creating some really laughable movies.
I didn't realise Stephen Chow was such a household name until recently. Other than kung fu hustle, my meagre knowledge knew of only one other movie under his belt; Shaolin Soccer. So when the new Cj 7 came out, i went to dig up his rather illustrious past. I found to my amazement, films dating as old as time itself. Stuff like the monkey God, God of Gamblers, Flirting Scholars were actually around, hidden in old musky cupboards in auntie's houses. Thank God i managed to borrow some. Not from an old aunty. An Ns friend.
Anyway, you should really go see them. They are laughably awesome!!
Splurge.
My recent promotion from Corporal to 3rd Sergeant comes with benefits. Pay benefits that is. However due to some glitches, it took some time before the new pay came in and when it did, it came in a glut.
Thus it resulted in my recent splurging at the March IT fair. I bought a 750G harddrive and an Ipod classic. Despite my feeble attempts to convince myself that i should save, i went all out. Now i'm almost broke. Shit. Still, i think it was worth it hahaha!
Oh, they were selling a 1000G hard drive too. For $300.
Mahjong
During the recent Chinese New Year period, i've finally done something other than stuffing myself with bah kwa. I went to learn Mahjong. The game of oldies, money, fighting and ridiculous Stephen Chow comedies.
The game is really addictive. I've been playing almost every night. I'm still rather slow at building my wall though but still, this game rocks!!
Anyone want to play? I dun play money though!
Thou shalt not gamble. If thou shalt gamble, thou shalt not lose.
Hi friends.
After almost an entire year of milling around, i have finally succumbed to the wishes of my ardent followers. I am finally updating my blog. The fact that they were beating down my door the other night with pitch forks and torches is rather irrelevant.
Ok, let me begin.
Ns has been a blessing for me. God has allowed me to take a path that has been most favourable and blessed. Thanks God. For those who do not know, my vocation is now ADSS (Air Defence Systems Specialist). Now before you start scratching your itchy head about it, let me just enlighten you. Its under the Air Force (YES! HELLLLOOOO TEA BREAKS!), Yes its quite xiong(my weapon system doesn't shoot stuff like peas and durians unlike our friendly neighbours over the bridge. hurhurhur. It shoots a freaking missile that weighs 24kg. Thats like shooting Cavin.) And yes, specialist means sergeant. And yes, there are plenty of tea breaks. : )
Now, this may seem like a bit of advertising but its not. If anyone wants me to tell me to put a friendly word for you so that you will be accepted under the Air Force the next time u enlist let me know. Payment is cash only.
Ok anyway, recently i was fortunate enough to be selected for an overseas exercise called Exercise Maple Story in Canada. Ok i lied. Its called Exercise Maple Flag but i thought maple story sounded rather amusing. Ok, lame joke. Anyway, its gonna be for 17days in May and it stretches till the beginning of June. From what i've heard, its gonna be great. Good food (hello beef burgers, spare ribs, loaded baked potatoes and all the other glories from the West), good weather ( they told me its -10 at night) and good shopping (apparently there is a Wal-Mart). Good pay. Yes they are paying me to go there : ) . And theres good food too. Don't misunderstand me. The place i'm going has the hottest beach in Canada. HELLLOOOOO NURSE.
Anyone want anything from Canada? Drop me a missive/epistle : )
